Cantigny Park

While visting our Aunt and Uncle, we were also able to go to Cantigny Park. It happened that there was a small scale Civil War symposium going on the Saturday that we were there. The museum was really interesting, though the boys went through the exibits so quickly that I doubt that they read any of the information.

One of the re-enacters was explaing the weapons that were used in the Civil War.

I'll be posting more photos from the re-enactment later after I go through all 812 of them. :P There was also a cavalry demonstration, which Nana really liked.

Chrysanthemums

Outside the Billy Graham Center, there were huge beds of gorgeous chrysanthemums. It is strange, cause normally I dislike chysanthemums.

Wheaton, Illinois

We are visiting our Aunt and Uncle who live around Wheaton. Today my Aunt took us to the Billy Graham Center which is located in the Wheaton College campus and we went through the museum there. We also were able to vist the library. I really like the smell of old books.

PSAT, here I come

I can only do my best and that will have suffice. I need to leave for the high school around 7:15 am, as the test begins at 7:45 am. Hopefully, I'll be able to have a restful sleep tonight, unlike the past few nights. I should try to get to sleep by 8:30.

The Old Oak Tree

Only four more days till the PSAT

Oh joy. I took the dear little practice test in the helpful booklet that we were given by our school district. I'm not really sure what kind of score is a good score, but let's hope that on the actual test my grammar is better. This test is what qualifies for the National Merit Scolarship, but I don't think I will get it, though Mom keeps insiting that I have a chance. Maybe I'm not going to go to college. I'll just stay at home and do random jobs for the rest of my life. I'm sure it can't be too hard to get a job at a pickle factory. People keep asking me "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I don't know. I wish people wouldn't ask. I know they are just curious or trying to be helpful, but there isn't any answer to that question.

Reflections

Perhaps posting a photo will cheer me up.
