Happy Birthday Nana

Hope you have a lovely day Nana. I'm sorry that we will miss it. :(

Poor Daddy now has three teenage girls: a 13 year-old, a 16 year-old and an 18 year-old.

Still More

A Cousin?

This isn't a wonderful photo, but look at the boy on the right. He looks almost identical to Daddy's teenage photos. : 0 He look quite a lot like Matt too. It is kind of scary. Maybe he is a long lost brother or cousin or something......

What next?

Daddy (looks at Matt and notices he has a band aid on his forehead): Matt, what happened to your face?
Matt (shrugs): Oh that. I got hit by Bunny's machete.

So Bunny gets shot on his temple with a crossbow, and Matt gets hit with a machete. Oh dear. I wonder what unique way of injuring themselves they will come up with next. :- /

Paratroopers

This isn't the best photo as the sun was really bright and my camera was dying, but the paratroopers were pretty awesome.

Lest We Forget

There was a WWII re-enactment today put on by the Lest We Forget group in our area. It was fairly interesting. Unfortunately, we all forgot to bring any sun protection, except for me who used a tiny bit of sunscreen. Now we all look like lobsters. Oh joy. I'll post more photos of the re-enactment as I have time.

Goodness

I had to call the boys for goat chores. I couldn't find them in the house, so I called for them outside. I heard their voices down next to Daddy's barn. Daddy has been building an extension for his barn and right now there is a huge pit, about four feet deep and 20 feet by 10 feet. I looked down at the barn and Bunny was in the pit and up to his waist in water. Matthew was clambering up the side dripping wet. All the rain we have been have completely filled up the pit with water and hey, if there is water, why not go swimming? Even if it is muddy. Oh dear. I guess boys will be boys. At least they weren't climbing on the roof or something. ::sigh::

More Rain

I don't mind thunderstorms, but I really hate being home by myself during them. Especially when there is a tornado watch too. :(

Clear Boundries

Nana: Sarah, now that you are back I am going to have to re-acquaint you with the sewing room. I’ll show you the stuff that is mine, and the stuff that is not yours

Bizarre

Me: I'm hungry
Nana: You're welcome

[ long pause]

Me: I forgive you?
Sarah: That is probably the most appropriate response.

Stuffs

Daddy has almost finished putting the flooring down in all the rooms. Their room is the only one left to be finished.

On Tuesday Sarah and I also repainted Mamita and Daddy-O's room. With the extra paint that was left in the paint tin, we wrote on the floor. Sarah decided to be sophisticated and wrote in Greek.

Almost all of the upstairs has been cleared out so Daddy and another man can sand the floors on Monday. We spent this afternoon working on putting plastic on the walls so that we don't have to wash all the dust off everything. Bunny thinks that the whole purpose of having the plastic is so that he can blow on it and make it move. :P

We also cleared everything out of my closet so my clothes wouldn't get dusty. Mamita also told us girls that we were hopeless romantics because we were singing certain songs. :D

Did I ever mention....?

Little people are awesome.
Little people's imagination is awesome.
Who but a little person could occupy themselves for half an hour with four tic tac boxes named Ben, Jill, Jill Jill Jill Jill, and Benton?
