Daddy (looks at Matt and notices he has a band aid on his forehead): Matt, what happened to your face?
Matt (shrugs): Oh that. I got hit by Bunny's machete.
So Bunny gets shot on his temple with a crossbow, and Matt gets hit with a machete. Oh dear. I wonder what unique way of injuring themselves they will come up with next. :- /

this seems to be one extreme. I think the other is when they start yelling "He is killing me! He is killing me!" over and over again. And you keep asking them what happened they wont answer because they are in to much pain. Then finally after you ask them for the twentieth time they'll gasp out. "He... He.. He took the book out of my hand and.. and it rubbed up against my arm AND IT HURT!!!"
SO yeah. You judge a little kid boo boo by the presence of blood.
But Nick, how then do you judge a broken bone? hmm? hmm? :D
if bone is showing through the limb then you know it is broken. Otherwise they can tough it out.
