Man makes plans, but God determines the outcome

Karen and I decided on the way home, in 2011, she and I are going to go on a trip, beginning in Maine, and traveling along the Atlantic Coast until we reach Florida. In Florida I will be able to visit my Godmother. By then, I will legally be my own person, and should be able to drive (and have a job, cause by then gas will cost 10 dollars a gallon.

Wait! I could get Penrod/Hiawatha (the guy that takes the photographs for the postcards, who, if you didn't know, lives in Berrien Center) to hire me, and then Karen and I would be paid to to on the trip!!! We can stop at all the beautiful places along the way and will be able to photograph them.

Then 2012 I could study abroad for a year in Scotland, the land of my forefathers, of Wallace and Bruce, of bagpipes, and green hills, and sheep, and, of course if Karen wanted to, then she could come with me to chaperon, for no lady travels without a companion.

Ha! Like any of this will ever happen! It is still fun to wish, though.

Yay Miss Nana!!!

At the State 4-H Goat Show today Anna and Raspberrie got Grand Champion LaMancha!!!

Utter Annoyance

The funny thing about being away from people, at least for me, is that I begin to idealize them, forgetting how annoying they are. For example, while gone at Amen, I was away from Miss Nana and began to think about how wonderful it would be to see her and how sweet she was, etc, but the moment she arrives that happy little image of her is immediately shattered as she begins her normal habit, of which I had forgotten while she was away, of teasing our neighbor about various boys and giving her “shocked” squeak at the mention of any boy who she could possibly have a “crush” on. I really hate it when she does it, and I KNOW what she means by those little shrieks, and she sounds horrified at the thought of her actually “liking” so and so, and she acts as though she hates being teased, she actually enjoys it, for it makes her feel special. I KNOW, because as I am extremely embarrassed to say, Miss Nana behaves exactly as I a couple years ago, though she is a little more outspoken and bold than I was. I really wish I had not been like that, and realize now how damaging that sort of thing is to boy-girl friend relationships.

I can’t believe I just wrote that down.
Please understand that I’m not trying to be mean or say nasty things about Miss Nan, for I dearly love her, but it is because of that love that it really makes me sad to see her treat the opposite gender in such a fashion, and she doesn't listen to me when I try to tell her that.

I really, really wish that Nana wasn't so much like me!! :(

Random Scranton Photos

I think it is rather cool how the camera focused on the water droplets in this picture.

Steamtown Museum and Lackawanna

Since we arrived a day early for the confrence in Scranton, we were able to go to the largest Train Museum. It was intersting and, of course, a good place to play around with camera.

Goodbye Pasto'! :'(

We will miss you, for though we will have Pasto' G. with us, who will be very fun, even so, it would be even more awesome to have both of you. Maybe next year that could happen, except that would leave Emmaus pasto'less for a week, which would be rather selfish of us. :)

A Tug in Two Directions

The house is soooo messy and we cant leave it that way fro the next week, cause Grandma and Grandpa will be staying at our house watching the kids during AMEN. It HAS TO be cleaned and we won't be able to do it Sunday because we will be doing last minute packing, so that means I really should stay home tomorrow from a once-in-a-lifetime re-enactment of the D-day and the Landing in Normandy. I really, really want to go, but I also really want to get the house cleaned. Sarah, Matt, and Bunny are going with Grandpa, so they could take the video camera with them.
Oh, I soooo want to go, but duty calls......

If I don't clean the house nobody will
and if nobody does it the the dirt and dust and junk will be piled as high as the ceiling by the time we get back from AMEN
and I really hate to make Grandma and Grandpa stay in a mess,
and if there are things lying around on the floor like there are now, they could trip and fall and that would really hurt them,
and if they got hurt, they are older so they would not heal as fast,
and that would really not be good,
and that was just a run-on sentance.

Me is back

The sadness of coming home to an empty house :'(
I think my family is still at the WWII re-enactment.
They didn't even leave me a note :'(
