Some people have the right to have messy house, indeed it would be quite impossible to keep it completely clean, but others, like our family have absolutely no excuse for the constant disorder that is maintained. I say maintained, for indeed it seems as though they work to make it disordered. I stay home from some event with the sole purpose of cleaning the house form top to bottom, and in 6 or so hours of hard work I barely get done cleaning the living room, the kitchen, and the dining room, and then everyone comes home and within an hour my work is completely demolished!!!! People that have many (ie. one or more) young child(ren) can not be expected to be able to keep their house neat, for children take priority over neatness. Even if the family with younger children also has older children, it is almost impossible to keep it clean.
Also, MOTHERS SHOULD NOT BE THE ONES TO KEEP THE HOUSE CLEAN!!! A MOTHER’S LIFE HAS WAAAAAY TOO MANY RESPONSIBILITIES AS IT IS!!!! KEEPING THE HOUSE CLEAN IS THE CHILDREN’S JOB (if they are old enough to do so and you CAN expect a eight year old to pick up his toys). None of us H's are little children anymore, and we should be able to at least keep the house at a maintainable level, in fact, I am willing to do all the heavy cleaning, and would gladly do it, but I don’t have the time to do so if when ever I go to clean I have to do the most BASIC chores!!!
THERE ARE EXCUSES FOR A MESSY HOUSE
1. You live alone and you have to go to work
2. You have young child(ren)
3. You live in a small house which makes it impossible to keep it impeccable even if there were only two of you
4. You have relatives or the friends staying with you for a while
NONE OF THESE EXCUSES APPLY TO US H's!!!!!!!
Sorry for ranting on and on about that [insert apologetic smile here]
I am not saying that everyone aught to have a clean house, but simply that us H kids should be neater.
Now you know something that bugs me :)

Keeping a house clean is difficult. Don't be too hard on yourselves :)
