A Decision!

This is the single print that I will be taking to the county fair.

Walmart, photos, and learning new things

Today after dropping off our dear Maggie and Anan, Mom and us kids went to Walmart so that I would be able to print off the several photographs that I will (hopefully :P) be entering in the county fair. All went well, or so it seemed at first. We used digital photo printers like usual, paid for them and walked out.

On first examination, the photos seemed okay, but after looking at them closely, I really didn't like them. After Walmart we went to several other stores and each time when we got back to the car I would look at the photos hoping that I might like them, but each time I disliked them even more. The color was all off. The once clear photos were blurry (and you probably know by now that I don't like it when my photos are blurry :P) And even worse, there were small horizontal lines runing across the photos.

After sighing over how the photos looked for the millionth time, my dear Mamita decided that we would go back and see if we could try re-printing them. We turned around, and headed back to Walmart to talk to photo developers. Mom wasn't able to see the horizontal lines that were in the photos, and neither could the one employe the was with the photo lab. :P For a while I thought that perhaps I was hulicitaing, or that the lines were and optical illusion, but thankfully the other younger photo assistant could see them. It is a terribly feeling to be able to see something that one one else can see. [insert sigh of relief] Thankfully we were able to reprint the photos.

OK. If you ever print photos at Walmart use the machine that prints your photos in an hour instead of the one that prints them immeadiatly.
1. You save money. The hour prints are much cheaper than the immeadiate ones.
2. The photos are better quality. The ones that are printed immeadiatly are printed. The ones that are done in an hour are actually developed. If you would like to see the differnce, just ask and I can show it to you.
It doesn't always take a whole hour either. If they aren't real busy then they can be done as soon as ten minutes. (and 10 minutes gives you enough time to go and buy a pair of awesome shoes!)
The ten minutes were definately worth it! I really like how they turned out! Thank you so much Mamita for going back! Yay! I feel happy!

And wow this one is long too.
(and please forgive all the gramatical errors and misspellings cause it is kind of past my bed time, and my mind is tired :P)

Painting

My painting from art class is almost 3/4 of the way done, so hopefully it will be ready to enter in the fair as well. I still don't like how it looks, but oh well, at least it will be completed. I guess it is a good thing that I promised my art teacher I would enter it in the fair, cause if I hadn't I don't think I would ever have finished it.

I'm done with goats forever

and ever and ever.....

Or at least I hope so. I shall not shave another goat. One is a enough. I know my market goat isn't done, but perhaps I can pay one of my siblings to shave it for me. Anyways this is the last time I am ever going to show a goat, unless something strange and miraculous happens which changes my mind, and I hope that doens't happen.

(ok, I'll still take care of the baby goats in the spring, but other than that I'm done!)

after parental elimination...

We have 26 remaining.
:( Dad and Mom didn't like some of my favorite ones, and they kept some of the ones that are rather out of focus and that I don't really like at all, which makes me begin to doubt whether on not I should have asked them......

Closer to a decision....

I guess 56 is closer to 4 than 1000 is.....

Now I just have to have Mom and Dad help narrow it down even more.

Decisions, Desicions

Out of all my photos I can only chose one to enter in our county fair. Well, one single photo, and then a series of three photos.... but still I have over 1000 photos.

Hmmmm.....four out of 1000.....that's 0.4% of my photos from 2008.

I have a feeling that this is going to take me a looooong time.

Second attempt at (one of) my favorite flowers

We forgot something, again

So, instead of cleaning my room today like I had planned, Sarah and I get to go to our county fair grounds and clean the 4-H lemonade booth. :P

Sleep

I have always been more of morning person; I perfer going to sleep and waking up really early as oposed to going to sleep and waking up really late. If I sleep in past eight o'clock, it is as good as not sleeping at all. In that case, I wake up with a terrible feeling that I 've slept way too much and the whole day seems like I'm always behind.

I usually wake up when the sun rises. This automatic waking with the sun still happens even if I hadn't gone to sleep untl midnight the night before. For five days after my last goodnights sleep, I will still wake up at around six. (This is why I would go to bed ridiculously late at Higher things and still wake up at aproximately six o'clock) Once I have passed those five days, however, I nolonger wake up automatically and then I have to reset the schedule by going to bed at eight thirty or so (which is the place where I am at right now :P).
